South Africa head into the Super Six stage after their dominant win by 41 runs against Nigeria at Borneo Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Devnarain says she’s happy that the team is in a good space going into the next stage of the tournament.
"Yeah, I think if you look at it, three out of three wins is usually good and it was rain-affected matches, I don't think we've played a full 20 yet but I think the important thing is we got the wins and that's important,” Devnarain said.
“The girls found a way to win. So, assessment overall I think good place to be but we'll have to obviously put that in the past and take the learnings from our three games into the Super Sixes."
Devnarain adds that she is pleased to be leading a unit that stands accountable and maintains the technical team’s instructions.
"I think they are just a unit that wants to be held accountable and that always makes the leadership team jobs a lot easier. At the end of the day, they wanna be professional on and off the field, it's really good to see the celebrations that are coming through that they celebrate each other's successes,” she added.
“They want everyone to do well, if it's not them then someone else gotta put their hand up. As a leadership team it's really positive to see and yeah, we just hope that they keep the momentum into the next stages."
The 36-year-old mentor says going into the next match against Ireland, they want to focus on things they can control.
"We speak about it that 1%, so there's a lot that we look at in the three games, we don't like to look at the big things too much we sort of focus on the things that we can control in such a short time. We do want our catch efficiency to be a bit better, and run better between the wickets."
