The top four in Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, and Tristan Stubbs have managed a combined 107 across the opening three matches against Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Bangladesh.
With the team having since moved on to the Caribbean, where they next face Nepal on Saturday, Walter confirmed he will retain faith in his batting line-up.
''We will not make too many changes unless the conditions tell us to do that, obviously it was a tough sort of outing in New York for the top order, so certainly you don't want to change there, want to allow the guys to hopefully play on a better surface,'' said Walter.
With the Nissau County International Cricket Stadium having come under major criticism for its unfavourable conditions for batters, Walter insists there is no confidence crisis among his charges as the World Cup approaches the Super Eight stage.
''I think you have to be realistic in terms of what we faced there, I mean as bad as it was, you try to do what you can outside of match time. And the guys have been working incredibly hard on their games, just to stay in touch,'' added Walter.
While there may well be a dip in confidence from a batting perspective, the bowlers – on the other hand – were at home in New York, and Walter is fully aware they will now need to adjust in Kingston.
Reflecting on the conditions as they turn their backs on Nassa County, Walter believes the expansive and attacking brand of cricket synonymous with the Proteas will return, should the conditions allow, in St Vincent & the Grenadines this weekend.
