AmaZulu coach Romain Folz says he is building the team in his own image and not that of his predecessors after guiding Usuthu to the final of the MTN8.
The Frenchman was asked by SABC Sport whether he was happy to give ex-coach Brandon Truter a little bit of credit for his part in giving AmaZulu the away goal that led to them overcome Kaizer Chiefs in the semifinal over two legs. He says he is focusing on his race.
"When it comes to former coaches, I dont know what you want me to answer because I dont know what was done before," said folz.
"It's one thing to look at games on the TV and see okay they are trying to do this and that, it's another thing to be in the dressing room or on the training ground and see what is done on the daily basis."
Having taken over from Truter two weeks ago, Folz, who had a brief spell at Marumo Gallants before resigning early last month, insists that his methods are unique.
"I can give you an instruction that is the same as another coach, but I can say that to you In a different way that is gonna touch you in a different manner and you gonna give me a different product at the end," he added.
"So there is too many elements up in the air for me to tell you whether or not former coaches have an impact of the game."
