With all the challenges that Kaizer Chiefs are going through this season, one man who has been consistent at the back and feature in all their matches so far, Zitha Kwinika is happy to be back at the club that produced him and showing maturity.
Kwinika, previously known by the surname of Macheke, was promoted from the clubs development in 2014 during Stuart Baxters first spell at the club.
He was released permanently to Chippa United the following season, after some great showing at Chippa, Bidvest Wits and recently Stellenbosch FC, he has returned home and is happy with his progress.

Kwinika, was only 20 when he was promoted at Amakhosi, and this also happens to have been the last season that Chiefs managed to win some silverware, a league and cup double. Eight years later he returns to a club with serious issues, especially when it comes to results and performances.
So far this season, he has played with Siyabonga Ngezana and Njabulo Ngcobo at centre-back, and he addressed questions about a preferred centre-back pairing.
I think that on its own the coaches prepare teams for different games, yes, youll get a stable partner, whatever you may call it.
But I think we all have one goal in mind,[and] we working together, obvious in football we have different capabilities, others are strong here and there, so it depends on the game," said Kwinika.

"You will have a guy like Siya [Siyabonga Ngezana], Siya can win any battle any given day, Mapholoba [Njabulo Ngcobo] is a ball player, you have your Tower [Eric Mathoho]¦so every game has its players, but if we get that balance as the whole team then it will make things easier for the team going forward, never mind who is playing-who is not playing, I think thats not important, at this point in time its just to gel as a team even if the other one is not there for you to not even notice that, I think thats the important part.
