Mamelodi Sundowns went down 3-0 on their final home game of the DStv Premiership season against Stellenbosch FC, Saturday afternoon.
Sundowns came with extensive changes to the side that was on a stalemate by Kaizer Chiefs, as goalkeeper Ricardo Goss was handed only his second start alongside recalls for Themba Zwane, Grant Kekana, Bradley Ralani, Teboho Mokoena and Neo Maema.
The visitors set their intentions of the very clear in the early minutes of the match, after only six minutes when Ashley Du Preez brought down a ball over the top of the defence and to put his side on the lead.
Towards the end of the first half the Brazilians started to look for the equaliser and almost had it from a snap shot by Neo Maema that turned out to be an unlucky attempt.
Steve Barker's charges extended their lead at the brink of half time with a stunning over the top goal from Jayden Adams.
Masandwana approached the second half in the same energy as Maema stirred the visitors all the way through-trying to find the back of the net but goalkeeper Sage Stephens made a brilliant save.
The Brazilians were cut to size again 12 minutes in the second half after Du Preez came back and registered a brace with another smart finish from a decent position.
The hosts continued to battle on all fronts as the clocked began to ticked away and they closed this chapter with a 3-0 defeat.
