Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil lauds Antoine Semenyo for impressive debut

Gary O'Neil heaped praise on Antoine Semenyo following the Ghana forward's debut for Bournemouth.

The 23-year-old striker joined the Cherries from Bristol City during the January transfer window.

A former Bristol youth player, Semenyo has also spent time on loan with Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland.

He made his Bournemouth debut in the 1-0 loss to Brighton on Saturday and despite the loss, the talented player impressed his manager, along with Ivory Coast midfielder Hamed Traore.

O'Neil said on Ghanasoccernet: "They (Semenyo and Traore) did well.

"Like I said they were part of the reason why we were a threat today.

"The new boys settled well and Traore was a little tired so I had to change him.

"I am pleased for those and they deserve some points."
