Racing under the banner of Athletics Gauteng North province (AGN), Xaba crossed the Finish Line in an impressive 33 minutes, clinching the coveted prize of R20 000.
Her teammate Karabo Mailula, claimed the second position with a time of 34:35, earning R15 000.
Meanwhile, Cacisile Sosibo from Central Gauteng Athletics secured the third spot with a time of 34:52, taking home R10 000.
"I feel good, I'm feeling very excited to start my season on a higher note. It shows that my preparation went well," Xaba said.
Xaba, who now boasts five national titles in total, expressed her excitement at the remarkable achievement.
"Yeah, I can say yes, I just thank God all the time because you don't know. You can prepare yourself for the race but during the race, it happens that you don't feel well. I just thank God for giving me another title. I'm very excited to have that title again," Xaba added.
Xaba utilized the race as a component of her training regimen in anticipation of the World Cross Country Championships scheduled to take place in Belgrade, Serbia on 30 March.
"So far, I can say I'm feeling good. I think I'm ready, I just need to polish up a little bit on my preparation for World Champs. I saw Kenyans are too fast, they won the Cross Country 31:50 and I saw that we are also going to have Hasana in the race, it's going to be very fast. I'm just looking forward to doing good [well] because usually when it comes to the Cross Country I prepare so well but when it comes to the race I become sick."
