Van Dyk added that the camp afforded them time for assistant coach Zanele Mdodana to assess the progress of the team and help new players blend into the system.
"Yes, the team is adapting well to the new technical team. They are eager to learn and they're buying into what we have to offer," said van Dyk.
"I respect coach Zanele so much, I like the work she does with our players."
The Proteas will face a test against Malawi in the Spar Challenge next month, and possibly against other African teams to which Netball South Africa has extended invitations.
This will help Van Dyk and her technical team to find the best possible combinations and further preparation for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney.
"The team is definitely ready for the Spar Challenge, [after] we just came back from the camp. We will always aim for a win, and that is our ambition for the series," added the coach.
The 41-year-old mentor also stated her next step is to start specialised training sessions to accommodate players based in other parts of the country to help keep the players in shape ahead of the Spar Challenge.
"What is next is that I will be traveling to different areas, mostly Gauteng and the Free State, just to keep the players fit as we wait for the Spar challenge," she concluded.
