The news come as a surprise following the exceptional year the Belgrade-born star had, winning three out of the four Grand Slams which included being runners-up to Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon, his only loss at a major tournament in 2023.
The news was seemingly confirmed by Serbian journalist Sasa Ozmo, in a post that he quoted via his official account on social media platform X previously known as Twitter.
"Can confirm this.
It remains to be seen whether they stay on the team in different roles, but its a stressful job, as you can imagine," posted Ozmo.
Eduardo Artaldi joined Novak Djokovic's team in 2008 following the 36-year-old's maiden Grand Slam title victory at the Australian Open in Melbourne after defeating French opponent Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
The world number one is currently leading Serbia in the Davis Cup, where he defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3 6-4 to send Serbia to the Davis Cup quarterfinals in Group C on Friday.
"I'm on cloud nine with everything that has happened recently on the tennis court," said Djokovic.
"Playing for Serbia, for my country, is something completely different. It's a huge responsibility and pressure, but it's also a privilege and an honour."
Serbia will be looking for their first Davis Cup title since 2010.
