Moloi, now in his fourth and final term as ASA president, has announced his intention to run in the highly anticipated elections.
The nomination process for candidates vying for positions will officially open on 1 March.
"The date of the elections of Athletics South Africa is the 31st of May. We have announced, we have sent circulars to all provinces. So, we are gonna open the nominations next week then they will be allowed. So, everybody is allowed to do that in the provinces," Moloi said.
Before the national elections, each province will first elect its new board, with Athletics Gauteng North and KwaZulu-Natal Athletics scheduled to hold their elections before May.
"And the provinces must elect first and then we are the last. So, we are urging most of the provinces that are going to have an election, to have election first before our elections so that we know very well that we've got good people that are going to lead us," he added.
Moloi who is also a member of the council for the International Athletics Foundation (IAF) announced his intention to run for a second term, stating that he has unfinished business with ASA and requires more time to fully implement his plans.
"I want to go for the second term because I didn't finish my plans. So, the second term is the implementation of whatever plans I've got and to bring in [sponsors], because I've been negotiating with different companies to sponsor Athletics South Africa but if you leave or you are not there, they are not going to come because now, they are relying on you,” Moloi explained.
