In an interview with SABC Sport, she addressed the accusations, which reportedly came from within the federation, where some members left citing her "bullying" behaviour.

Komane, however, dismissed these claims with a laugh, clarifying that she is simply a disciplinarian who runs a tight, no-nonsense operation.
She emphasized that her approach leaves no room for errors or complacency, insisting on adherence to standards and discipline within her team.
''And I believe I carry a sense of understanding of a corporate environment. I know the laws and I know that you can't do as you please and I know that when we work we are not there to make friends, we are there to work and nobody owns an institution.
We must respect each other in an institution, it's about leadership, growth and maturity. Personalities are different, I am wired differently and one thing I can tell you is that people have a problem with personality and I can not afford to explain myself everyday - I am a passionate person, very disciplined and a hard nut to crack,'' said Komane.
Modiegi, a 50-year-old administrator, is unapologetic about her leadership style. She emphasizes her respect for others but stands firmly by her values, which often leads to misinterpretations. Known for her no-nonsense approach, she is frequently misunderstood, yet she remains resolute in her commitment to effective leadership.
''But I am professional, I am transparent, I speak the truth and that is also another problem. I just want to say we need to grow as people to understand that business is business - it is not personal. To understand that we are not at work to make friends, we are there to work and to respect each other.
So if people feel I rule with an iron fist. I mean you came in an organisation and effect changes that I believe are important for the growth of the organisation and they start saying different things, unfortunately I can not help them,'' added Komane.
She revealed that two staff members left because their contracts were not renewed, while another two resigned.
Komane has now completed one year in office after succeeding longtime CEO Blanche De La Gurre in October 2023. Her contract expired last month, and she told the national federation that the decision to renew it rests solely with NSA.
''I think I want to leave that answer too. We have had an executive meeting and we have had a board meeting and a council meeting. I will leave it to the President to make that announcement,'' she expressed.
When asked if she feels she has done enough to secure a contract renewal, she confidently believes she has delivered on her responsibilities. However, she openly admits that she is not particularly well-liked among the staff.
