An influx of Springbok signings and the red-hot form of flyhalf Siya Masuku has made it difficult for an underperforming Bosch to make the starting XV at the Durban franchise.
Seeking pastures anew, the 26-year-old secured a contract with the French second-division club.
"A skilful player with the ball in his hands and blessed with a long and precise kick, Curwin Bosch has been playing in the Sharks Province since 2016," read a statement from the club.
"Then a resident of the training center, he was selected in his first season with the Baby Boks and played his first minutes in Super Rugby with Durban Province. Very quickly, he earned his starting stripes and became the metronome of his team's back line.
"His good performances did not go unnoticed and he was logically called up to the Springboks in 2017 (3 caps). In 2022, the Sharks enter the Champions Cup. This is an opportunity for Curwin Bosch to discover European rugby and face the best teams from the Old Continent. In the quarter-final against Stade Toulousain, he left his mark with a top-flight performance at Ernest-Wallon, making a series of sharp runs in the Toulouse defence. Engaged in the Challenge Cup this season, he won the competition with the Sharks by beating Gloucester in the final."
Pierre-Henry Broncan, sports manager of CA Brive, is excited to have such talent in his ranks.
"I am very happy with the arrival of Curwin Bosch," said Broncan.
"He is a player who has a wide technical range with high-quality footwork. He knows the high level perfectly and I am convinced that he will bring a lot to the team as well as to our young talents in their training."
