France boss eyes 2027 RWC following third consecutive win over All Blacks

Delighted with the success, especially after France's lack of game time compared to the All Blacks, he said the win was good for France.

They overcame the early loss of a prop that caused scrum issues and the Cam Roigard interception that resulted in the All Blacks' second try.

"We were solid in the most vulnerable moments," said Galthie.

"At half-time, we sorted the problems, and [scrumhalf] Antoine Dupont controlled the way we played.

"We were facing a team that had been honed, oiled and together for six months and was playing its 13th game. We, with three weeks of preparation and only one match against Japan [won 52-12], did not start on equal terms. Our plan was quite pragmatic. We were under pressure in the first half, but the players did not let up.

"This is very positive for only three weeks of joint work. This is a prestigious victory. We worked hard to get to this point. It shows we made the right decisions and the work done with players is right.

"It is 100 percent joy, pleasure and happiness."

Galthie said beating the All Blacks in three consecutive Tests was satisfying, and France would end the year as the best of the northern hemisphere sides.

"It is a year of post-World Cup transition that is both very rich and very difficult to go through," he concluded.
