Leinster cruise to victory over Stormers in URC showdown

The win, their tenth from ten matches, also secured a bonus point for scoring four tries.

The hosts led 15-7 at halftime, thanks to a dominant display that featured tries from Dan Sheehan and Andrew Osborne.

Sheehan, making his season debut, crossed the line twice, while Osborne added two tries of his own, one on either side of the break.

Jordie Barrett also scored, sealing an emphatic Leinster performance. Ross Byrne contributed with conversions, adding to Leinster's tally.

The Stormers, who were unbeaten in their previous three encounters with Leinster, struggled to maintain their composure.

Key moments included Ben Loader's early try, set up by Manie Libbok and Warrick Gelant, and a late consolation try by Evan Roos. However, injuries to Libbok (knee) and JD Schickerling (shoulder) before halftime hampered their efforts.

Leinster dominated the second half, turning their narrow halftime lead into a decisive win, while the Stormers' misfiring lineout and handling errors left head coach John Dobson frustrated.

With this defeat, the Stormers have now lost two consecutive matches, including their recent Investec Champions Cup clash.

They will look to bounce back against the Bulls in Cape Town in two weeks. Leinster, meanwhile, head to Swansea to face the Ospreys on 13 or 14 February.
