Zwane confident youngsters can cover for ‘injured’ Bimenyimana

The Burundian forward, who is now both Amakhosi and the DStv Premiership leading goal scorer, limped off towards the end of their 2-0 victory over Golden Arrows on Saturday.

The Soweto giants have yet to issue an update on the extent of his injury, but Zwane believes youngsters Wandile Duba and Mduduzi Shabalala are adequate replacements. 

"If he's injured will play the young man Wandi. He's got the potential to score goals, so we have no fear. As you could have seen when he went in there he was fearless. However football is a game of mistakes. He made mistakes here and there. But make no mistake, he's a top class player and he's going places. I'm not worried," Zwane said.

Chiefs have appeared to struggle whenever Bimenyimana has been unavailable, and Zwane explains why he sees a big improvement since the 25-year-old joined at the start of the season.

"Look, I'm happy for him. That's what strikers are supposed to do. The game today has evolved, you have to get players that can break the lines. Open spaces for others to open the space but also very good in holding the ball. Knowing when to turn and how to lay the ball to others to finish. 

So, I think he scored a great goal from great movement. That's what we usually do anyway and we want to perfect it, we want to polish it and be better," he concluded.
