Agnes Nkosi believes sticking to game plan will be key against JVW

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies assistant coach Agnes Nkosi says the team has prepared a good tactical strategy ahead of the Gauteng derby against JVW at UJ Stadium on Saturday.

Banyana Ba Style have dominated the first quarter of the Hollywoodbets Super League, returning to the top of the log with 24 points, claiming a remarkable eight wins in nine matches this season.

Nkosi believes sticking to the game plan will be crucial against a tough JVW side.

“I believe that everything starts at training, as coaches we make sure we apply good tactics, so that when we face-off with tough oppositions we can have players follow the game plan,’’ expressed Nkosi.

The Chloorkop’s attacking force has been very handy with the likes of Boitumelo Rabale and Miche Minnies - being key players when it comes to finding the back of the net, which sees Sundowns with 24 goals in their last four matches.

The 36-year-old mentor praised the two Sundowns strikers not only for contributing to the team’s return to the top of the log but for also being the league’s top goal scorers.

“When it comes to these top goalscorers, they really work hard at training, and the results show during matches,’’ added Nkosi.

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have had 15 different players marking their names on the score sheet in the current campaign, scoring a total of 40 goals and conceding only seven times.

There’s only two Hollywoodbets Super League fixtures to look forward to on Saturday, starting with TS Galaxy Queens against newcomers Copper Belts FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, wrapping up with Sundowns Ladies and JVW match at the University of Johannesburg Stadium.
