Sundowns are just one point away from retaining their Hollywoodbets Super League title, with two games in hand - against TUT Matsatsatsa and the University of the Western Cape.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Nkosi says the technical team is grateful for the players’ efforts to a successful 2024 campaign.
“I think the players have shown character in making sure that they play well. I believe we have already won the league, ours is to focus on what is next for the team and start working on our pre-season plan for the 2025 campaign. That is exactly where we find ourselves, thanks to the players’ commitment to the club,’’ said Nkosi.
The Chloorkop side has secured 10-straight wins since July, leaving the team at the summit with 77 points, and 11 points ahead of second place UWC.
Nkosi says she attributes this achievement to a group of players who are always willing to take instructions.
“All I can say - is that we have players who are always willing to take instructions - they make our job easy and we are very proud of their achievements this season,’’ added Nkosi.
Jerry Tshabalala’s charges will have to wait until the end of the international break to face TUT, for a fight to secure a title defense winning point.
And the 37-year-old mentor believes it’s going to be the easiest one point to collect this season.
“I think that one is already in the bag, all that we are thinking about is - what is next for the team,’’ she expressed.
