Isak's first goal was somewhat fortuitous, taking a deflection past Wolves' goalkeeper Jose Sa, but his second was a showcase of his precision, underlining the quality he's consistently displayed this season.
He further contributed by setting up Anthony Gordon for Newcastle's third goal before exiting to an enthusiastic ovation from the St James' Park crowd.
The Swedish international has now netted 11 times in his last eight Premier League matches, surpassing Shearer's record of scoring in seven consecutive games set back in 1996.
Reflecting on his performance, Isak remarked, "I feel amazing. Individually I feel free and confident but looking at the team we are doing so well as well, defending and with threats going forward. It is a team and I have to keep contributing with goals."
He emphasized the importance of team dynamics, stating, "When we play at our best the players will feel free. In my position as well I want to be able to express myself in the best way I can. Records are things you enjoy after your career.
"I go into every game with the same mentality - to score goals as that helps the team."
Newcastle's manager, Eddie Howe, praised Isak's feat, noting, "Yes, an incredible achievement. I think that this is the hardest league in the world to score in, up against very good defences, especially with the fixtures that we've had."
Howe also highlighted the collective effort, mentioning Bruno Guimaraes' creative influence, Sandro Tonali's defensive contributions, and goalkeeper Martin Dubravka's key saves that maintained the clean sheet.
With this victory, Newcastle have moved into fourth in the Premier League. However, the team has little time to bask in their success as they prepare to host Bournemouth in another early Saturday kickoff.
