Ramoreboli, who has taken Galaxy to two CAF Champions League group-stage campaigns, says an opportunity to come back home can’t be downplayed.
''This project needs someone that understands it, and someone who can take it further. I am still here, yes my agent and the club are still negotiating, we will know very soon what is going to happen. Like I said I respect Jwaneng Galaxy, yes one day I will go back home - and it will be the time which God makes,'' said Ramoreboli.
Ramoreboli, who clinched the 2021 COSAFA Cup title with Bafana Bafana and was awaiting an appointment as the national U23 head coach, has been approached by a PSL team for the upcoming season. He has also received interest from Ugandan powerhouse Vipers FC, indicating the high demand for his coaching services. He reveals that he’s never been short of offers.
''You are right, I was very patient with this project. I respect it, and so many offers came, even in December I had an offer from Vipers, a couple clubs came and I said let me try and push this project. Yes, a lot of PSL teams came, even this season my agent was telling me that a couple of clubs have inquired about my services. It's happening but at the same time you say, wait for the right time and do proper things and don't just leave like you are fighting people. When people have been good to you, repay them with respect,'' he added.
This past season, Ramoreboli shocked Orlando Pirates by knocking them out of the CAF Champions League in the preliminary stages. He also says it’s important that he remains in a position to compete in the CAF inter-club competitions.
Sekhukhune United, who made their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup last season and reached the group stages, will return there again next season after finishing fourth in the Dstv Premiership this past season.
Ramoreboli, who had a very competitive season with Galaxy, beating Botswana powerhouses Township Rollers and Gaborone United on the last day to win the league title, also believes that he’s done more than enough there to end the dominance of the other two giants.
