The 33-year-old Ghanaian midfielder began his playing days in France with Marseille.
He went on to enjoy a long and productive career for both his country, and for the likes of Swansea, West Ham and Fenerbahce.
He most recently turned out for English Premier League side Noottingham Forest.
Ayew was presented to the Le Havre fans at the Stade Oceane prior to the clash with AS Monaco on Saturday, that ended 0-0.
Les Ciel et Marine are currently seventh in Ligue 1 following their promotion from Ligue 2.
Part of a Ghanasoccernet report read: "Le Havre fans are thrilled to see Ayew don the club's colours, and they will be eagerly anticipating his debut. The former Marseille star is set to compete with Lille OSC loanee Mohamed Bayo for a starting spot in the team.
"With Ayew's expertise and leadership, Le Havre will look to consolidate their position in Ligue 1 and potentially mount a challenge for European places."
