Andy Boyeli the hero as Sekhukhune United stun SuperSport

Andy Boyeli netted a hat-trick to guide Sekhukhune United to a 3-0 victory over SuperSport United in the Betway Premiership on Sunday.

Boyeli opened the scoring at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium with five second half minutes played.

SuperSport were reduced to 10 men when Tashreeq Morris saw red on 54 minutes, and Boyeli quickly doubled his side's lead just four minutes later.

The striker then netted his fifth goal of the campaign when he scored from the penalty spot with 74 minutes on the clock.

The result saw Sekhukhune move up into third place on the league standings with 23 points from 12 games, and Matsatsantsa drop down into 10th place with 16 points from 13 matches.

Chances were few and far in the opening exchanges with Vincent Pule coming closest to an opener with a curled shot he fired just off target.

Morris then forced a strong save from Badra Ali Sangare, and Eric Mbangossoum headed wide as SuperSport continued to look threatening going forward.

With the second half just five minutes in, Boyeli found himself well placed to put his side in the lead, with the SuperSport defence caught napping.

Vuyo Letlapa had set up the goal and was the provider for the second as well, just after Morris received his marching orders for a reckless challenge on Relebogile Mokhuoane.

Boyeli was always going to take the penalty when the referee pointed to the spot late on, and he made no mistake as he calmly beat Thakasani Mbanjwa in the SuperSport goal.
