Ange Postecoglou: Son Heung-min should be available for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Manchester United, but their growing injury concerns continues to mount.

James Maddison, returning to the starting XI, made an instant impact, scoring the only goal of the match.

Meanwhile, Guglielmo Vicario reclaimed his place in goal after a long injury absence, replacing Antonin Kinsky.

However, the win came at a cost, with Son Heung-Min, Rodrigo Bentancur, and new signing Kevin Danso all picking up knocks.

Son's potential injury is a particular concern, as he remains one of Spurs' most influential players.

Manager Ange Postecoglou provided an update post-match but did not confirm the severity of Son's issue.

"They all got sort of knocks," said Postecoglou.

"I don't think it is anything significant. But the beauty of it now is we can actually get them to recover instead of trying to patch them up and throw them out [on the pitch] again midweek.

"I think from what I've heard, knocks all three of them but they should be fine."

This season, Tottenham find themselves in 12th place in the Premier League, a disappointing position given their ambitions.

Injuries have played a significant role in their struggles, with key players missing for large parts of the campaign.

Their trophy hopes have also taken a hit, with eliminations from both the FA Cup and League Cup leaving the Europa League as their only remaining chance at silverware.
