Richarlison's early lead for Spurs was overturned by Leicester with goals from Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss right after the halftime break, flipping the game's momentum.
The defeat marks one win in Tottenham's last 11 Premier League games, leaving them languishing in 15th place.
The club have been severely impacted by injuries, notably in defense, with key players like Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie sidelined.
Amidst a string of disappointing results, there has been considerable chatter on social media about Postecoglou's job security. However, Football.London reports that the Tottenham board considers the situation "embarrassing" but are committed to backing Postecoglou.
They plan to bolster the squad in the immediate future, aiming to sign at least one player to address the injury crisis.
Postecoglou's team also missed the services of Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, and Yves Bissouma due to injuries in this match.
When questioned about the pressure of the results, Postecoglou remarked, "Yes, it does [hit you hard], but at the same time I'm kind of responsible for it, so you've got to take that on board."
He further highlighted the backing he feels from within the club, stating, "When you're in this kind of position, you are looking at the people around you, I just feel the players, the staff, the people at the football club I deal with, they're still totally supportive of what we're trying to do, and that's all you can ask for as a manager."
Discussing the pivotal moments just after halftime, Postecoglou noted, "You come out for the second half, know they are going to have a little energy, they are 1-0 down, we got caught a bit cold.
"It's not just the physical fatigue; it's the mental fatigue for this group of players who are constantly at it."
Updates from posts on X suggest that while fans are vocal about their frustrations, there's also an understanding of the injury crisis and a call for patience with Postecoglou's project at Tottenham.
