Angelo Stiller's focus remains on Stuttgart amid Barcelona buzz

VfB Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller has become a subject of transfer speculation, with FC Barcelona reportedly showing interest in the midfielder.

Despite the rumours, Stiller has made it clear that his concentration is solely on his current club.

Stiller, 23, who has a contract with Stuttgart until 2027, addressed the transfer talk in an interview with Sport Bild. "Of course you hear some speculation about a transfer. I'm sometimes asked about it, even in the dressing room," he said.

However, he emphasized his commitment to Stuttgart, stating, "I don't deal with the topic. It's the wrong time to think about it. I'm at VfB, that's where my focus is."

Adding to the speculation about his future, Stiller recently changed his representation, moving to Volker Struth of Sports360. "Volker and his project have completely convinced me. He has a lot to offer and I got on well with him straight away. That was very important for me," Stiller explained about his decision.

In other news from Stuttgart, the club alongside SSV Ulm 1846 have mutually agreed to terminate the loan of attacking midfielder Laurin Ulrich earlier than planned.

The 19-year-old German youth international, who only managed five appearances for Ulm in the 2. Bundesliga, will now return to Stuttgart's reserve team in the 3. Liga.

Ulm's sporting director, Markus Thiele, commented on the situation, "Unfortunately, Laurin was unable to gain as much playing time with us as we had all hoped for. Laurin is a young, very talented player who will go his way. We wish him only the best."

VfB's sporting director, Christian Gentner, added, "We have decided to end Laurin's loan prematurely. Laurin is to gain match practice in our U21 team during the second half of the season and help us achieve our sporting goals in the 3. Liga."

These developments underline Stuttgart's strategy to nurture young talent within their own ranks while keeping their key players focused on current objectives amidst transfer speculation.
