The 22-year-old forward remains on the fringes of the squad under head coach Hansi Flick and has struggled to establish himself as a key figure.
Barcelona are reportedly open to a departure if the player expresses a desire to leave, but the decision ultimately rests with Fati.
Last summer, Fati opted to stay at Barcelona despite limited game time, and the club's hierarchy remain cautious about predicting his next move. The Spanish international, under contract until 2027, has seen his role diminish further this season.
Fati's exclusion was highlighted in Barcelona's recent Supercopa semi-final clash against Athletic Bilbao. Despite injuries sidelining key players like Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, Flick overlooked Fati, leaving him in the stands.
Instead, 16-year-old academy graduate Toni Fernandez was included on the bench, a clear indication of Fati's current standing in the pecking order. Fernandez, who made his first-team debut earlier in the Copa del Rey, is now being favoured over the former Brighton loanee.
The forward has featured sparingly this season, clocking just 186 minutes across eight appearances in all competitions. His lone start came in a La Liga fixture against Sevilla, where he played as a left winger but was substituted after 76 minutes. He has yet to find the back of the net this term.
Barcelona are said to welcome a potential move, seeing it as a chance to reduce their wage bill and provide Fati with the regular playing time he currently lacks.
However, they are unwilling to force his exit, leaving the decision in his hands. Fati remains an attractive prospect for clubs across Europe, thanks to his versatility and ability to play across the front three.
With his career at a crossroads, the coming months could prove decisive for Fati as he contemplates his next steps.
