Antonio Fernandez Casino set for pro contract with FC Barcelona

FA Barcelona teenage sensation Antonio (Toni) Fernandez Casino is reportedly poised to sign his first professional contract with the club.

Celebrating his 16th birthday today, Fernandez became eligible to pen the deal, with the agreement to be finalized on Tuesday.

The young forward, a standout talent from La Masia, had an impressive season with Barca's Juvenil B team.

His performances earned him a spot in the Juvenil A setup for the upcoming season, under the guidance of Juliano Belletti.

Fernandez, known for his versatility, left foot, and goal-scoring prowess, was excited to train with the first team squad under new manager Hansi Flick.

As per the club's norms for underage players, Fernandez's contract would extend for three years, until 2027.

His rapid progress and potential made him a candidate for fast-tracking to Barca Atletic, where he could join his cousin, Guille Fernandez.

With Barcelona facing a shortage in the No. 9 position after Marc Guiu's departure and Vitor Roque's uncertain future, a first-team debut for Fernandez might not be far off.

Fernandez's signing marks a significant step in his budding career, with high hopes for his future at Camp Nou.
