Arsenal's injury woes loom over perfect post-break form

Arsenal's impressive form, featuring three consecutive wins and 13 goals scored, has been overshadowed by mounting injury concerns, particularly in defence.

Martin Odegaard has played a pivotal role in their resurgence, showcasing his leadership and creativity.

However, the Gunners' momentum faces challenges as injury woes mount, particularly in defence. Gabriel Magalhaes, who scored in the 5â-2 triumph over West Ham, was substituted at half-time after a collision with Lukasz Fabianski.

While concussion was ruled out, he continues to manage a recurring issue reminiscent of one he faced against Sporting CP.

Riccardo Calafiori, another key defender, also exited the West Ham match early. Though his fitness isn't a major concern, he remains short of peak condition.

Meanwhile, Mikel Merino, who played 20 minutes against Sporting CP midweek, missed the West Ham trip due to recurring problems.

Thomas Partey and Ben White are also on the injury list. Partey, who played a full match against Sporting CP, was left out against West Ham, while White is recovering from a minor procedure undertaken during the break.

Takehiro Tomiyasu's continued struggles, with only seven minutes of play this season, add to Arsenal's defensive frailty.

The Gunners now prepare to host Manchester United at the Emirates, aiming to extend their unbeaten streak despite the significant challenges posed by their depleted squad.
