Nigeria's team gathered in Abuja this week as they prepare to face their West African rivals next month.
Eguavoen, who assembled a 35-man squad to evaluate local talent, expressed his satisfaction after observing the players' first few sessions.
"Very impressive," he remarked, according to NFF TV. "Only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good."
However, he acknowledged that work remained to unite players from diverse clubs.
"We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit."
The upcoming CHAN tournament, designed for players competing in their home leagues, will hold their qualifiers in December.
Nigeria will travel to Ghana for the first leg between 20-22 December, followed by the return leg on home soil the following week.
The winner of the two-legged tie secures a spot in the 2025 CHAN tournament, set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Eguavoen's confidence in the squad's potential suggests Nigeria may prove a formidable contender.
