The 26-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable season, standing out both for his club and country, and was notably the only African player shortlisted for the prestigious Ballon d'Or.
Lookman played a pivotal role in Nigeria's journey to the final of the last AFCON, scoring three goals and providing one assist, earning him a spot in the Team of the Tournament.
His stellar performances continued with Atalanta, where he scored a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, securing the club's first European title.
This season, Lookman has maintained his form with three goals and three assists in seven matches for La Dea, as well as netting two goals in two AFCON qualifier matches.
Eguavoen expressed confidence in Lookman's capabilities, stating, "He has always been an enterprising player from his youth level in England. I am not surprised by his success.
"He is still very young and has a lot of progress ahead of him."
As the Super Eagles prepare to face the Mediterranean Knights at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Lookman aims to carry his impressive form into the qualifiers and help secure another victory for his country.
