The result, and not finding the back of the net, will particularly frustrate Bafana head coach Hugo Broos as his team laboured against their southern African neighbours.
Broos opted to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up from the side that beat Morocco in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in June.
Burnley forward Lyle Foster, having already scored two goals in the English Premier League at the start of the campaign, led the line for the hosts but was not given the service that he craved.
Forster was joined in a front three by Kobamelo Kodisang and Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng while Sphephelo Sithole started in the heart of the midfield.
It was Saleng that came closest to finding the opening goal with a free-kick but his effort was well-saved by Namibia goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua.
Broos rung the changes at the halftime break with Lebo Mothiba, Grant Kekana, Aubrey Modiba and Mlungisi Mbunjana all coming on after the interval.
The changes failed to make an impact though as Namibia's defence, led by Baroka's Ananias Gebhardt, held firm in front of what can only be described a sparse crowd.
Broos and the South African public will be hoping for a better display when they take on Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in another friendly at the same venue on Tuesday.
