The former South African U17 and U20 goalkeeper hit the target at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium on Friday to help the hosts to a 3-1 win.
Williams says it is something she has done before as she practices all the time.
"As I said before, trusting myself enough to actually execute it the way it's supposed to be done because I've done it before. I do practice long-range shots all the time especially making sure that it stays afloat. So, it wasn't something that I'm not used to," Williams said.
Williams says although she is excited that Banyana are through to the semi-finals of the competition, she is not surprised.
"Exciting, exciting but not somewhat of a surprise for myself and the team because we knew that we are a circle and that one thing ticked, getting to the semi-finals or at least topping our group, that's exactly what we wanted," she added.
It’s been over five years since Williams was in the Banyana squad - the last time was as a stand-by player ahead of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
She is however pleased to be back and happy that she has contributed to getting South African into the semi-finals.
"It feels good, it does, also more of the fact that the coaches trusted me enough because I'm sure you've seen there are decent goalkeepers in the Hollywoodbets but for them to actually handpick me this time, it feels good. I'm glad that I was able to contribute somewhat to us getting out of the group stages."
