The Catalans face a crucial transfer window in both signing necessary reinforcements and alleviating their financial strain.
Barcelona aim to finalise Lenglet's departure next week, as reported by Sport, with Spurs displaying interest in acquiring him on a permanent basis. The expected fee of ¬6m is half of his initial valuation.
Notably, Barcelona stand to save over ¬30m in wages by parting ways with Lenglet, as he was among the highest earners at the club, earning around ¬18m per season, despite being surplus to requirements under Xavi Hernandez's management.
Barcelona hope that Lenglet's impending exit is the first of several as they strive to overcome their financial challenges in the coming years.
