This triumph marked a strong recovery for Bayern following their previous loss to Mainz.
Returning from injury, both Alphonso Davies and Harry Kane bolstered Bayern's starting lineup, while Leon Goretzka took his place in central midfield.
On the other side, RB Leipzig's coach, Marco Rose, altered his team, introducing Peter Gulacsi and Arthur Vermeeren.
The game kicked off with Bayern taking an early lead. Michael Olise's precise pass found Jamal Musiala, who scored within minutes.
However, Leipzig quickly equalized through Benjamin Sesko, capitalizing on a cross from Lois Openda.
Bayern quickly reasserted their dominance. Konrad Laimer scored in the 25th minute off another assist from Olise, and Joshua Kimmich added to the scoreline with a stunning long-range shot just before halftime, putting Bayern ahead 3-1.
The second half saw Bayern maintain pressure, with Peter Gulacsi making solid saves to keep Leipzig in the game, notably denying Musiala and Kane. Despite these efforts, Leipzig's attack was largely contained, only managing a near miss when Antonio Nusa shot wide.
The scoreboard continued to tilt in Bayern's favor; Leroy Sane scored in the 75th minute from a pass by Davies, who later added his name to the scoresheet with a header from Kimmich's cross, finalizing the score at 5-1.
This victory propels Bayern Munich to 36 points, extending their lead over Bayer Leverkusen by seven points.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig remain in fourth place in the Bundesliga standings.
