Bayern Munich push for Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich contact extensions

Bayern Munich are in advanced talks with Jamal Musiala over a new contract that could see the young star earn up to €25 million gross per year, according to various media reports.

The club are keen to secure Musiala's services until 2029, with discussions progressing positively.

The 21-year-old, who has become a key figure for both Bayern and the Germany national team, is reportedly close to agreeing to the deal. However, it is still unclear whether the contract will include a signing bonus.

The potential four-year deal could cost Bayern around 120 million euro in total.

Musiala, who has previously stated his intention to focus on his performances, recently said: "It's important for me to stay fit and perform well until I have a bit of time to relax. Then I can take my time and think about everything.

"I think we'll know more during the winter break."

Despite the financial offers on the table, Musiala remains focused on his current responsibilities with Bayern and the national team. "I know a lot of people are looking at my situation, but I'm trying to put as little pressure on myself as possible," he added.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also working to extend Joshua Kimmich's contract, though negotiations may prove challenging.

With Kimmich's deal set to expire in 2025, the club's sporting director, Max Eberl, is under pressure to secure his long-term future.

After a turbulent period under former coach Thomas Tuchel, Kimmich has regained his status as a pivotal player under new manager Vincent Kompany. Kompany values Kimmich as one of his most important assets, alongside Musiala and Harry Kane.

Kimmich recently acknowledged the complexities of his situation. "I am in dialogue with the club and that will continue. Eight or ten weeks ago the situation was different. People were saying, 'When is Kimmich going to leave?' The decision has to be carefully considered.

"Of course, the past plays a role, but so does the future."

With the January transfer window approaching, Kimmich could begin talks with other clubs, as interest from both Spain and England grows. Bayern are keen to resolve his future, but time is running out for Eberl to secure his long-term commitment.
