Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala admits he admires Barcelona

Jamal Musiala's future at Bayern Munich remains uncertain, despite his status as a key player for the club, and Barcelona may be interested.

The 21-year-old's current contract runs until 2026, but Die Roten has yet to make significant progress in renewal talks.

With the club eager to secure his future, discussions are expected to begin soon, though no breakthrough has been reached.

Barcelona, long admirers of Musiala's creativity and vision on the pitch, are keeping a close eye on the situation.

The Catalan club has been watching his development closely, with Musiala's style aligning perfectly with their playing philosophy.

However, Barcelona's financial constraints make it unlikely they will meet Bayern Munich's high demands for the player.

Musiala, who supported Barcelona during his childhood and looked up to Lionel Messi as his biggest inspiration, has often had the Argentine's name printed on his shirts.

"F.C. Barcelona was my favourite team and because of that they were always my reference," he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

"On the back of my shirts as a kid, the name was almost always Messi. I also had one with Neymar, but Messi was my hero, my favourite player."

This deep admiration for Messi, combined with Barcelona's interest, has fuelled speculation about a potential move. Yet, Bayern Munich remains determined to retain their prized asset.

As Musiala continues to shine at Bayern Munich, the coming months could be pivotal in deciding where his future lies, with both clubs vying for his talents.
