Borussia Dortmund in race to secure Serhou Guirassy signing

With several clubs interested in triggering his release clause, which is around €18 million, BVB are determined to outmanoeuvre competitors and secure one of their main targets in the summer market.

Guirassy has been a revelation in the Bundesliga, scoring 28 goals in 28 games this season, a performance that has caught the attention of several major clubs in Europe.

At 28 years old, the Guinean forward has had the best campaign of his career, being instrumental in Stuttgart's impressive season, which saw them finish second in the Bundesliga.

According to a report by Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are also in the race for Guirassy's signing, seeing him as an ideal option to bolster their attack. However, Dortmund's interest is particularly notable, given that Guirassy has demonstrated his goal-scoring ability against them, netting in all three encounters this season (two in the league and one in the cup).

The sporting management of Dortmund, aware of the need to strengthen their forward line, are willing to do everything possible to sign Guirassy.

The market opportunity represented by his relatively low release clause makes him a highly attractive target. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Dortmund are pushing hard to close the deal as soon as possible.

Atletico Madrid will need to react quickly if they don't want to miss out on the chance to sign one of the most prolific strikers in Europe at the moment.
