At a pre-match press conference, Terzic revealed that key players, Julian Brandt, Marco Reus and Gregor Kobel have all received medical clearance and are set to feature in Friday's showdown after sitting out the previous 0-0 draw against Heidenheim.
The squad has further strengthened with the return of Julian Ryerson and Karim Adeyemi, both of whom have recovered from their respective injuries that kept them sidelined for weeks. Additionally, England's dynamic winger Jadon Sancho, absent in the Heidenheim fixture due to a muscular issue, made a noteworthy comeback in Thursday's training session, raising hopes of his inclusion in the matchday squad.
Terzic expressed optimism, stating, "All players except (Felix) Nmecha and (Sebastien) Haller are options for tomorrow," highlighting the team's improved fitness status. Regarding Sancho's potential involvement, the coach remarked, "Jadon Sancho will return to full training today, and then we'll make a decision about him tomorrow."
Despite a draw in their previous outing, Dortmund have reason to be content with their defensive solidity, securing three clean sheets in the last four league matches. However, their home form has been inconsistent, with two wins, one draw, and two losses in the last five Bundesliga games at Signal Iduna Park.
Notwithstanding their home struggles, Dortmund draw confidence from their recent dominance against Freiburg, having triumphed in the last four head-to-head encounters, including a memorable 4-2 victory at Europa-Park Stadion in September.
As they sit fourth in the Bundesliga table, Dortmund eye redemption and aim to capitalize on their recent successes, aiming for a vital three points in their pursuit of higher league standings.
