Borussia Dortmund secure future star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens with new deal

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have inked a new long-term contract with English prodigy Jamie Bynoe-Gittens until 2028.

The 19-year-old winger's electrifying pace and propensity for one-on-one duels, coupled with his impressive technical finesse, have made him a player to watch.

Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, was thrilled about the extension, stating, "Jamie is a prospect for the future. A winger with incredible pace, who constantly looks to get into one-on-one situations, and displays his technical ability in doing so, can create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates or can look to shoot himself."

Kehl further elaborated on the decision, emphasizing the club's commitment to nurturing young talents like Bynoe-Gittens. "We are convinced that his development is far from complete, and we are pleased that Jamie has decided at this early stage to commit his long-term future to BVB, despite great interest from several other big European clubs."

Bynoe-Gittens, who arrived at Dortmund's doorstep from Manchester City's youth academy in 2020, expressed his gratitude and excitement about the extended contract. He said, "I am proud that Borussia Dortmund have given me the opportunity to sign such a long-term contract. Even during the difficult times for me in the past months due to injury, I have always felt the belief and trust of the club. I feel incredibly comfortable in this team, in this city, in this stadium."

The young Englishman went on to reveal his strong attachment to the club and his aspirations to contribute significantly to their success. "BVB were always my first point of contact because they have shown over many years that they give young players playing time at the highest level, if they perform convincingly. I wish to take the next step together with my club and want to help my team on the pitch with goals, assists, and hard work."

Bynoe-Gittens has already demonstrated his potential on the field, despite limited playing time this season, amassing a total of 86 minutes. His presence on the wing has added a dynamic dimension to Dortmund's attacking play, making him a valuable asset for the club's long-term ambitions.

With this renewed commitment, Dortmund have sent a clear message that they are dedicated to nurturing young talents and building a team that can compete at the highest level.
