The Natal Rich Boys has been gassed up by new sponsorship, which has changed ambitions for the upcoming season, with chairman Jomo Biyela expecting at least a top 8 finish.
Truter, who replaced coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi says those who are doubting him, must check his record.
He was speaking exclusively with Ukhozi FM during the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup.
"I have never finished outside of the top eight, I've never ever, go and check it. The fact is once there are facts you can't argue. I've never in my coaching career finished outside of the top 8. I've always been in the semi-final or final of every cup competition there is. So, I don't understand where the doubt is coming from but if you don't wanna believe me go and check, thank you," Truter said.
The Natal Rich Boys youngsters played a huge role in saving the club from relegation.
Truter has reaffirmed his belief in youngsters and shared how he will integrate them with senior players.
He expressed satisfaction with the squad the club has assembled for the new Betway Premiership and will use the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup to check them.
"I'm actually in awe of the youngsters that I have at my disposal, in training as well but we have to get them to a competitive environment and play them regularly with the senior boys and at the senior level. The talent I've seen so far from the young boys at Richards Bay is top, top level."
