Cape Town City release five players

The Citizens ended the recently completed DStv Premiership season in fifth place on the league standings.

Departing the club are Thabiso Kutumela, Jo Paciencia, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Bongani Mpandle and Khanya Leshabela.

A message to the players via the club's social media channels reads: "We would like to thank all the players and wish them every success in their future endeavours."

City, meanwhile, are set to bring in midfielder Haashim Domingo, as earlier reported by SABC Sport, while Kamohelo Mokotjo and Fortune Makaringe have also been linked with a switch to Cape Town.
