The Citizens ended the 2022/23 campaign in fourth place following their narrow 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Although he did not give too much away, the ex-Bafana Bafana midfielder revealed City planned well in advance.
"We start looking at players right at the beginning of the season. We've already made decisions on what our squad is for next season. So, there will be some new faces that are coming in which we will obviously announce at the right time," he said.
SABC Sport earlier reported that midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane is expected to leave City and join Chiefs, while defender Lyle Lakay is likely to return to parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.
But Tinkler remained coy on any specific movements.
"There will be some players that will be leaving us but those decisions, believe it or not, they've all been made. The one issue that we have and I tell agents, we got too many foreigners in our squad currently," the coach explained.
City will also cut down on the number of foreign internationals in the squad, with seven players currently on their books.
"We have seven foreign players and we have to make a decision on two of them because we can only keep five. So, there will be one or two changes in terms of the foreign spots. We will obviously announce that when it's the right time. With regards to Mdantsane again that announcement will be made at the right time."
