Chelsea boosted by striker Nicolas Jackson's return to training

Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson is edging closer to a return from injury, providing a much-needed boost for Enzo Maresca's side.

The Senegalese striker has been sidelined since early February due to a hamstring injury but is now back in training and working on the grass as part of his recovery. He is expected to return after the upcoming international break.

Jackson's comeback could not come at a better time for Chelsea, who have struggled in attack due to injuries and suspensions.

Marc Guiu, Cole Palmer, and Noni Madueke have all been unavailable, while Mykhailo Mudryk is currently suspended after testing positive for a banned substance.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho has been out of form and has not scored since December, leaving the Blues short of firepower.

Despite these setbacks, Chelsea remain fourth in the Premier League and have also reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League.

However, their form in 2025 has been inconsistent, and Maresca will be hoping Jackson's return can reinvigorate their attack.

The 22-year-old has been one of Chelsea's standout performers this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in the Premier League.

His ability to stretch defences and link up with teammates has been sorely missed, and his return could be crucial as Chelsea push for Champions League qualification and European success.
