Chelsea push to sell Romelu Lukaku as Napoli and PSG eye key transfers

Chelsea are reportedly keen to offload Romelu Lukaku, who has expressed a desire to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte at Napoli.

Lukaku, who previously played under Conte at Chelsea and Inter Milan, has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract with Napoli, earning £5.5million per year.

However, there is a significant financial gap between Chelsea's asking price of £29.5million plus bonuses and Napoli's offer of around £21million.

Napoli's need to secure a new striker by July 25 for their pre-season camp is pressing, given that their head coach, Antonio Conte, is eager to make the signing.

This urgency is linked to the potential departure of their star forward, Victor Osimhen. Osimhen, who has a £110million release clause, has attracted strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Osimhen, offering a five-year contract worth £12million annually.

Despite PSG's £72million bid, Napoli are expected to reject it, though negotiations continue.

Osimhen earns £8.5million per year at Napoli, and his potential move is driven by the club's financial constraints worsened by their absence from the Champions League.

If Osimhen's transfer goes through, Napoli plan to use the funds to acquire Lukaku.

The transfer window sees key players and clubs manoeuvring strategically: Chelsea want to sell Lukaku, Napoli may sell Osimhen and want Lukaku, and PSG seek Osimhen to replace Kylian Mbappe.
