Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung confirmed that the full complement of their playing personnel will be traveling to Mangaung for the Macufe Cup.

Chiefs square off with Royal AM in the return of the Macufe Cup festivities at the Free State Stadium on Sunday afternoon (kick-off at 15:00).

With domestic action on a FIFA international break, Motaung has confirmed that Amakhosi will be taking their full squad, including top stars such as Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat and Itumeleng Khune as they aim to honour their faithful followers from the now football-starved region.

"We want continuity so the coach is taking our full squad, we're not taking [a second-string side]. Only those one or two players that are going to the national team [will miss the game] but we're taking a full squad," Motaung told Thabiso Mosia on SAFM Sport On earlier in the week.

"We want to be able to be consistent so the players need to play together and compete, and we're not playing a first division team, we're playing a premier league team, which is Royal AM [that have been] giving us problems.

"We're going to compete, we're going there for competition, so the boys will be backed up - we're taking the whole squad, the main squad, and not just taking advantage of [the supporters]. People are traveling for this game, they're coming to watch and we need to be genuine and serve them."
