Mbatha’s side thrashed their neighbours 3-0 and will now face Zambia in the tournament decider on Sunday at the Bingu National Stadium in Malawi.
She wants to see that same killer instinct in the final, though she’s wary of Zambia's approach of using their physical strength to gain an advantage during the game.
"It was a good game, Botswana gave us a run for our money. We definitely would like to play more competent countries in the future so that we can sharpen our skills," Mbatha said.
"I think as a team we need to sharpen our scoring skills because we created a lot of opportunities but only scored three, but I'm happy with the three.
"Zambia are very physical but we're prepared for that, we can be physical when we'd like to [be]. It's going to be a very good came and, at the end of the day, football has to win.
"It's not about who's better than who, and if the best team wins, we all win. But most importantly, the kids have to enjoy the game."
