Despite a disallowed goal from Deniz Undav and a missed penalty, Stuttgart secured three points thanks to a stunning late winner from El Bilal Toure.
Post-match, Undav expressed his disbelief at having his first-half strike ruled out for a perceived handball. "I didn't move my upper arm a single millimetre," he said in an interview with German broadcaster DAZN.
"If you take the ball with you but your arm isn't moving, there isn't an extra touch forward. But if that's the rule, I'll take it all back and leave it alone."
Despite the setback, Undav remained positive about his team's performance. "We put a lot of work into this," he noted, grinning through the frustration.
"We were clearly the better team and dominated the game. The end of the match couldn't have been more dramatic. Toure's finish was brutal, a world-class first touch and finish."
Stuttgart's midfielder, Jamie Leweling, echoed Undav's sentiments, highlighting the team's determination. "We were in control, had many chances to score, a lot of possession, and many forward actions," Leweling stated.
"At lunch, we had a good feeling. Everyone in the team kept up the feeling that we would win. We demonstrated that until the very last minute."
Leweling also reflected on Stuttgart's mixed recent form. "It feels amazing," he added. "The results so far were not what we had hoped for. This victory against Juventus is much better. It doesn't get any better than this."
The win not only boosted Stuttgart's confidence but also marked a significant moment in their Champions League campaign, proving they could rise above adversity.
