Simeone highlighted the significance of Rodrigo De Paul, stating, "De Paul has always had quality; he's a world champion and in this recent period, he's taking his best steps at Atletico. It's normal for fans to appreciate what he's contributing. He's very important for us, with a strong personality, and we expect him to continue like this because that's what we need."
Looking towards the match, Simeone commented on Villarreal's strategy, "We're focusing on tomorrow's game. Villarreal have a clear style with a solid defensive approach, ready to counterattack with their four forwards who are very good. Whether it's Baena, Pino, Gerard Moreno, or whoever plays upfront, they performed well against Mallorca, and we're only thinking about how our players can help."
On the challenges posed by Villarreal, Simeone noted, "Their coach has been changing their play, and they are growing significantly. Without weekly competition, they can focus solely on La Liga. They are a dangerous team."
Regarding Giuliano, Simeone said, "I see him only as a footballer; I value his work. He's doing what we expected of him. We will demand improvement; he needs to score goals, but he has the most important attributes: enthusiasm, bravery, humility, and generosity. He will continue to grow if he stays on this path."
Simeone clarified his tactical philosophy, "In La Liga, there isn't a final; it's match by match."
Discussing Marcos Llorente's role, Simeone remarked, "He has more match experience than Molina; he isn't short of minutes. He started against Elche and scored four goals from two shots. He's important for us in any position. I still think he can help as a forward, in midfield due to his physical energy, or as a wing-back with his power and goal-scoring ability. He's one of our top assisters."
On the timing of matches, Simeone said, "We are still far from the end of the league; we only care about our game and concentrating on what the opponent presents."
Simeone also spoke about facing Marcelino, "Like most coaches, their teams reflect the coach's style on the pitch. Marcelino's approach has always been clear, and he won't change. He has players suited to his system, so we'll encounter a tough, challenging team with varying speeds and the bravery to attack."
With the transfer window nearing its end, Simeone concluded, "We are very pleased with our current squad, and the club will decide if there's anything that could happen that would benefit the club. We keep our focus on the matches."
Finally, on his ambitions with the Champions League, Simeone stated, "What the president says is gospel to me."
