Julian Brandt (6') and Nmecha (54', 60') got on the scoresheet for Dortmund, while Brian Brobbey (7') netted for Ajax.
Dortmund have been fairly busy in the transfer window making four new signings namely Nmecha, Marcel Sabitzer, Ole Pohlmann and Ramy Bensebaini.
Bensebaini and Sabitzer started against Ajax, while Nmecha came off the bench to good effect and Terzic praised the new signings, making special mention of two-goal hero Nmecha, who joined the club for ¬30m from Bundesliga competitors Wolfsburg.
"It was a really great game. We had a lot of chances to score and took the lead early on. The fast goal was annoying. We not only saw a nice game, but also a great atmosphere," said Terzic.
"We want to improve, you could see that from game to game in preparation. The boys go along with it and try to implement things.
"The newcomers fit in well and had really good promotions. Felix Nmecha did an excellent job today and was involved in a lot of offensive actions. We see the potential for him to become important for us in dangerous areas. He also showed that today."
