Ederson: Man City boss Pep Guardiola has changed the Premier League

Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson has shared his thoughts on Pep Guardiola, praising the Manchester City manager's impact in England, during a Children's Day event in Brazil.

Ederson, who has been part of Guardiola's project since 2017, expressed his honour at being involved in a team that has achieved remarkable feats under the former Barcelona boss's guidance.

Since joining City in 2016, Guardiola has transformed the club into a powerhouse, leading them to an impressive 18 titles, including six Premier League trophies and a Champions League.

In 2023, City made history as the only English club to hold all five major trophies in a single calendar year, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

Ederson noted Guardiola's significant impact on Premier League football, acknowledging his five-time accolade as the Premier League manager of the season.

"I've been able to play a big part in the project," he said, as quoted by ESPN Brasil.

"You take everything Guardiola has built up with the group, with the squad and everything he's been able to reformulate practically.

"You see every Premier League game today, how the teams try to play more football, have more possession, it's completely different from when he arrived.

"So to be able to be part of this project and achieve everything I've achieved, I feel very honoured, it really is a childhood dream."

The goalkeeper's reflections come as City continues to thrive, building on Guardiola's previous successes at Barca and Bayern Munich, solidifying his legacy as one of football's greatest managers.
