Ngankam is the Eagles' seventh signing ahead of the new season. The 22-year-old striker, who has progressed through all the youth teams at boyhood club Hertha BSC since 2006, won the German U19 title in 2018 before netting 25 times in 21 matches in the U19 Bundesliga North/Northeast the following campaign to win the division's top goalscorer award.
Berlin-born Ngankam has made 37 Bundesliga outings for Hertha since making his top-flight debut as a 19-year-old in May 2020 - including 18 last season - registering six goals and three assists in the process. Ngankam, who stands at 1.84m tall, has also gained international experience with Germany's youth sides, making seven outings for the U17s and U18s as well as five for the U21s - including at the European Championship earlier this summer.
Board member for sport Markus Krösche: "As a young player who is capable of improving and who possesses great potential, Jessic fits our strategy perfectly. We're pleased he's opted for Eintracht Frankfurt despite other interesting offers. Jessic is a player with a great deal of passion and power. We firmly believe he's the perfect fit for our team and our club."
Jessic Ngankam: "Moving to Eintracht Frankfurt is an important step for me and one which I thought about carefully. After many years in my native Berlin I'm ready for a new challenge, which I want to face with a very ambitious and exciting Bundesliga club. I'm looking forward to the new challenge and can hardly wait to get started at Eintracht."
